Being a Family member of a mentally ill loved one can activate some very intense feelings of loss, fear, self-doubt, confusion, and heartbreak.

Many of us who have walked this path of trying to deal with and support our loved ones and ourselves, and often other family members as well, often feel very alone with our pain and confusion.

If you are a family member of a mentally ill loved one, you may have some of these feelings. You may feel isolated, confused, and overwhelmed by all the responsibility now on your plate. Well, I support you.

Sometimes, finding a coach or therapist who has experienced a similar painful or challenging experience can be so healing. Someone who can help you clear your mind, navigate the mental health system, extend compassion to yourself, experience relief, and find your way to be at peace regardless of the struggles ahead.

During my 50 years’ experience as a Holistic Psychotherapist and Relationship Coach and the 17 years I spent as a Crisis Counselor in the Emergency Room, I have supported thousands to surrender when mental health turns their world upside down.

As a mother of a mentally ill loved one myself, and as co-author of an Amazon #1 Bestselling book called “Sacred Surrender,” I know what it takes to come out the other side of this long journey with deep gratitude and peace.

🌟 I received these beautiful messages from clients who share what the experience of working with me has been like for them.

“I was triggered by the shocking behavior of my daughter who has a mental illness. She had never acted this way and I felt lost trying to process what had happened. I found Cynthia online and was so grateful to have someone to talk with who has experienced some of the same things I’ve experienced. I’ve talked with other therapists but finding someone who has been on the same journey, has been so healing for me.”

“I found Cynthia right after a terrible personal loss. I was extremely depressed and couldn’t see myself moving forward. Without a doubt, this was the darkest period in my life. I was incredibly lucky to find Cynthia at such a critical moment! I am not sure I would have been able to recover without her help. She held the mirror for me with unconditional support, kindness, and loving honesty. She has an extraordinary amount of professional and life experience, which she is always eager to share with me and help me cope. I can’t thank and recommend Cynthia enough to anyone looking for an amazing therapist!”
