As life settles into its own rhythm, many of us find ourselves pausing—not because a calendar tells us to, but because something inside us asks for it: a quiet moment to breathe, be present, and notice where we’ve been, how we’re feeling, and what we want to carry forward.

I’d love to share something that has been especially meaningful for me over the past year.

You may be familiar with Lynne McTaggart’s book The Power of Eight: Harnessing the Miraculous Energies of a Small Group to Heal Your Life—and the World. For the last nine months, I’ve been part of a “Group of Eight,” and the experience has been deeply impactful.

Our group meets weekly. We take turns holding intentions for one another, and at times we focus on the wellbeing of our group as a whole—or even for communities or parts of the world experiencing suffering. Each gathering is simple, focused, and grounded in care.

There is something powerful that happens when people come together with a shared intention for wellbeing. The person receiving the intention often feels supported and uplifted—but what’s just as remarkable is that those offering the intention experience a sense of wellbeing too. It’s a shared, reciprocal experience.

Lynne McTaggart, a researcher and teacher, explores this phenomenon through her work, courses, and writing. One of her most surprising discoveries is what she calls the boomerang effect: when we intend wellbeing for others, those same benefits often find their way back to us.

As a group, we frequently hold intentions for ourselves and for humanity as a whole—to be more kind, gentle, grateful, caring, forgiving, accepting, and loving.

I invite you to hold this intention with me, even briefly. The more people who carry it, the more it ripples outward—supporting not only others, but ourselves as well.

This is what I wish for all of us. 💛
